What is an anti-scale chemical and how does it work?

Antiscalant is a pretreatment chemical used in the reverse osmosis water filtration process to prevent the RO reverse osmosis membrane from fouling. It plays a very important role in maintaining the quality and longevity of the RO membrane.

Antiscalant (also known as scale inhibitor – Antiscalant) is used to minimize the possibility of scale buildup on the surface of the RO membrane. It is widely used to prevent scaling by salts such as silica, iron, barium sulfate, calcium carbonate, gypsum, etc., especially those that cause water hardness.
